What are Sunday mornings like?

Attire

Dress however you feel comfortable. Pastor Steece is often in a suit with a cool bowtie, but others wear dresses, jeans, or even shorts and t-shirts.

So, dress comfortably and come see us!

What do we do?

Sunday school starts at 10 am in the Fellowship Hall and is very casual with doughnuts (usually), coffee, and Bible study.

The lessons can vary from a Book of the Bible to current events, and often times the unusual things in the Bible.

Worship Service

Worship service begins at 11 am and usually ends close to noon.

During the Service, we sing hymns, and the preaching is done verse by verse through the Bible.

Come early or stay later and fellowship with other people in our community.

Our Leadership

Steece Hayes

Pastor

Meet Pastor Steece, a proud native of Florence County with roots in the Timmonsville community. Alongside his beautiful wife, Julia, who hails from Hartsville, Pastor Steece has been an integral part of the fabric of this region for many years. Their family includes a 23-year-old daughter, Kourtney, happily married to Kaleb, and a lively 10-year-old son, Steece Jr.

Pastor Steece holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Religion from Liberty University and an MBA from Cedarville University. Currently, he is on the path to completing (2024) his Doctorate in Ministry (DMin) from Liberty University. His academic pursuits reflect his dedication to deepening his understanding of faith and ministry.

Beyond his scholarly pursuits, Pastor Steece is driven by a passion for studying prophecy and the enigmatic aspects of the Bible. He also finds joy in following Clemson football and indulging in his love of coffee. Pastor Steece is always open to a cup of java and a good conversation.

With a heart for his community and a commitment to his faith, Pastor Steece is a cherished leader within the Timmonsville First Baptist Church, embodying a spirit of devotion and service that resonates with all who know him.
